AI usage and allowances

What uses AI, how much of your allowance it uses, and what happens at the limits.

What uses AI. Ask Omni, the written summaries and narration on your views, recommendation drafting, and Ask's suggested questions and conversation memory. The findings themselves are computed deterministically from your data: AI writes about your numbers; it never invents them. AI features are part of the Intelligence and Command plans.

Your monthly allowance. Each account has a monthly AI allowance that resets on the 1st (UTC). When usage crosses 80% and again at 100%, the people on the account are notified by email. Those emails respect the Action-required emails preference in Settings → Notifications.

Seeing your usage. Everyone sees how much of this month's allowance is used. Workspace admins also see usage by day, by portfolio, and by person on Plan & Billing. Admins of a portfolio see that portfolio's usage by person on its Usage tab. Everyone else sees their own activity, on Plan & Billing for workspace members, or the Usage tab for portfolio access.

If AI pauses. Two things can pause AI across your account, and both end on their own. If the month's allowance is fully used, AI can pause until the next monthly reset. Separately, after unusually heavy use in a single day, AI may pause for the rest of that day and resume at 00:00 UTC. Everything else in OmniCommand keeps working: your data, findings, and reports are unaffected.

Command portfolio caps. On the Command plan, workspace admins can set a monthly AI cap for each portfolio on Plan & Billing, as a share of the account's allowance, so one brand's heavy month never crowds out the others. The portfolio's admins and Standard members are notified at 80% and 100% of its cap, and at 100% AI can pause in that portfolio until the monthly reset.

Switching AI on or off. Admins control AI in Settings → AI Features: workspace admins for the whole workspace and each portfolio in it, and a portfolio's admins for that portfolio. Each level can also choose which uses of AI run and for which people. Switched off, OmniCommand runs fully deterministic: Ask Omni is unavailable, and everything else works with plainer wording.
